Club Shooting Times
- Sundays 2:00pm to approx 4:00pm (March to October)
- Sundays 1.00pm to approx 3.00pm (November to February)
- Wednesdays 6.30pm to approx 8.00pm (April to mid-September)
Our range is outdoors, so shooting is always subject to the weather conditions.
Keynsham Archers is part of the following organisations;
- Archery GB - The National Governing Body for archery
Formed in 1861 as the Grand National Archery Society (GNAS), it's responsible for regulating and administering all levels of archery in the UK, from grassroots clubs to performance athletes
- Grand Western Archery Society - Our Region
Also formed in 1861 to encourage the practice of archery, in all its forms, throughout the South Western region of England
- Gloucestershire Archery Society - Our County
GAS covers the county of Gloucestershire, the district of South Gloucestershire and the City and County of Bristol
In addition to our regular weekly club shoots, club members also have the opportunity to participate in other club competitions and national, regional and county events.New Paragraph

Frostbite Shoots ❄️
Aimed at encouraging our Archers to continue shooting outdoors over the cold winter months, we've so far shot two of our monthly Frostbite shoots this winter.
We're scoring these shoots on paper (rather than with fancy Apps) so everyone's mental arithmetic has been put to the test as well as their archery. With totals adjusted afterwards to reflect their bow type, eleven of our archers have so far gained a badge reflecting their score. So congratulations to Alvin, Becky, Hugh, Ian, James, Karen, Neil, Nick, Rob, Sam and Tom🏅
We Do Like Pumpkins. Really!
We held our inaugural Halloween Shoot (and homage to 3D Archery) at the end of October. 🎃🎃🎃
At 30 yards, it was frustratingly tricky to hit an 8" diameter pumpkin, but after a few ends people started to “get their eye in”. Becky’s great shooting resulted in three arrows in one poor pumpkin. We must find a badge for that for next time!
Club Gilets!
Anyone coming to the club can hardly fail to miss many of our archers looking sharp on the shooting line in their club gilets!
Windproof and showerproof, they really are perfect to keep us comfortable whatever the British weather throws at us. And they certainly get tested on some of our shoots!
More successful days of Archery Taster Sessions...
This year we have run a couple of very successful days of Archery Taster Sessions. These 45 minute long lessons are for people wanting to experience archery for the first time.
Delivered by our amazing team of qualified coaches with the support of volunteers from the club, everyone that attended did fantastically well and went away with big smiles on their faces having had a great introduction to our sport. Hopefully many of them have been inspired to join us on one of our Beginners' courses.
